Our client are a multi-disciplinary consultancy providing sustainable solutions to meet the planning, engineering design and project delivery needs of the property, infrastructure, environment and energy markets.
Their Building Services team is currently recruiting for a mechanically biased engineer to support the business in maintaining the quality of design output to ensure it continues to be of the highest quality and is compliant with all relevant standards.
The role offers the opportunity to contribute to the strategic enhancement of their current working practices in both the design and standardisation of production output across the Building Services business.
While the role is predominately based in Manchester, there will be a degree of travelling to various offices across the UK, to meet and collaborate with the office Directors and their Engineers.
Working with the Director currently fulfilling this role electrically, you will be responsible for reviewing all design output for a variety of mechanical designs, checking for their accuracy, as well as assisting in the development and implementation of standardised methods across the business. The role will also involve the production of feasibility designs at RIBA stages 1 & 2, for development by the Engineers.
To fulfill this role you will need to be degree qualified and be C.Eng & MCIBSE or MIMechE. You will need to demonstrate experience gained over a prolonged period in the production and delivery of building services mechanical designs across a variety of sectors and be an effective communicator, both verbally and in the production of reports.
